Privacy Policy
Yelabee is a small, private app for getting fit with your people. We keep the data we hold to the minimum needed to run it, we never sell it, and we only ever share your content with the people in your own cluster. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Who we are
Yelabee ("we", "us") provides the Yelabee app and this website. If you have any questions about your data, email [email protected].
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, so you can sign in and your clustermates can see who you are.
- Your content — the meals, workouts, challenges, messages and meal photos you add, and your daily protein logs. This is stored so it can be shown to you and the members of your cluster.
- On-device data — some settings and progress (your height/weight, protein target, planner, accent colour, calorie log) are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers.
- Basic technical data — standard information your browser or device sends when it loads the app (such as a rough request time), used only to keep the service running securely.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and Yelabee contains no third-party advertising.
How we use it
- To provide the app — showing your content to you and to the members of your cluster.
- To keep your data private to your cluster, and to keep the service secure and working.
- To send optional reminders (only if you turn them on).
Where it's stored
Your account and content are stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase (a hosted PostgreSQL database and file storage), and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is protected by row-level security so a cluster's data is only visible to its members.
Sharing
Your content is visible only to the members of the clusters you belong to. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may share data with our infrastructure provider (above) purely to run the service, and only where required by law.
Your choices & rights
- Access or export — email us and we'll help you get a copy of your data.
- Delete — email [email protected] to delete your account and associated content. You can also clear the on-device data by removing the app.
- Reminders — turn notifications on or off any time in the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under UK/EU GDPR) to access, correct, or object to our use of your data. Contact us and we'll honour them.
Children
Yelabee is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
